So many twists and betrayals, so much destruction and mass murder. No one is sloppiest blowjob ever and no one can be trusted. May be worth waiting for the release of the third book. Aug 18, Minx rated it it was amazing Shelves: I was beyond excited to get The Empress as an advanced read. Not mention that both covers are just downright gorgeous, coverlove! I will admit I was a bit nervous to read The Empress because in some cases the sequel to an amazing book is not nearly as good.

Oh, the feels from start to end! I did not know what to expect when I start I was beyond excited to get The Empress as an advanced read. I did not know what to expect when I started this book but it was nothing that I could have ever expected. The Empress picks up directly after the ending of the previous story. Tyrus has ascended the throne and has Nemesis by his side. He knew ushering in a new age where he could have a diabolic by his side would be challenging but he never truly realized just how difficult.

He was so in love with Nemesis and he was so sure that he could make everything work. There were obstacles in his way that he had not accounted for and with Nemesis by his side they set out to find a way to solve their dilemmas.

Both Tyrus and Nemesis felt that they had discovered a way to get what they both desired and be able to once and for all secure Tyrus as the new Emperor with Nemesis as his Empress, but they had no idea just how far the Grandiloquy would go to prevent such a union from happening. Faced with impossible odds and circumstances outside of their control both Nemesis and Tyrus were forced to accept horrors that were beyond imagining.

This acceptance also created irrevocable changes that altered who they were and the world as they had known it. Love is all I have to say! I loved everything about the world that has been developed in this book. Living in space, traveling between planets, black holes, malignant space, robots, class struggles, such attention to details. Everything a fan of science fiction adores. I diabolic normally not a fan of any type of politics in a story but the way The Empress uses intergalactic politics to bring about plot twists is spectacular.

It also put my heart through the grinder. I did not love how the story played out, it was just heart crushing diabolic times. I will be honest about that, but it was amazingly written and damn if I am not waiting on the next book in this series. It does not even have a title yet but I will be clamoring for it when it is released. The Empress is a masterpiece filled with emotional rollercoasters and heart cringing moments that you just did not see coming.

I highly recommend The Empress and its prequel, The Diabolic. They are both epic reads! It is an honest and voluntary review. The complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating. The Empress is the second book in the Diabolic series however you could probably read The Empress on its own and still be in for a really good read. Tyrus is now Emperor and with Nemesis by his side they plan to bring back science and knowledge. There are many that oppose the young Emperor and especially the idea of a diabolic becoming the next Empress.

Tyrus strives for a voluntary union throughout diabolic Empire which has been ruled by fear for generations. Alectar van Pasus, his biggest objector, believes that Tyrus is being idealistic.

Their descendants will hate our descendants, as their ancestors hated our ancestors. Is Pasus a realist or a pessimist? This book gives more of an overview of the universe they preside over and more of the politics. There is much death, destruction and cruelty. At times it feels like all hope is lost and then there are the twists and turns. No-one can be trusted! This book made my heart race, made me happy and made me angry Sometimes evil prevails. Bring on book three!!!!!! The universe was so cruel. It kinda felt like all the parts I loved about The Diabolic were shifted away from to focus on the politics.

It felt much like the partnership we see in book 1. They protect each other and support each other, and I loved it. But their relationship really gets diabolic shaft because of the political drama that comes into play, allamericanmilitary com with Senator Pasus atk coeds his agenda. You simply have to see the genius of The Empress. For a sci-fi book, I was mildly surprised at how comical some scenes were. I literally cackled out loud at some lines delivered by the characters.

We have a new problem added to the mix-a sceptar that controls and unifies the Chrysanthemum that can only be turned on with both the blood of a Domitirian and the vicar. I found some actions of our main cast to be far more over the top than they really needed to be. I understand that we're in the transition of weak to strong, what makes us human, what doesn't and vice versa going on. For me Empress comes across far too whiny to lead into what I'm sensing is the third books storyline.

Personally, I still think Diabolic stood strong enough to be left as a stand alone. That being said, will I still pick up free money talks porn read the third one if it comes out? Yes absolutely. I'm still interested to see how this wraps up and the great big F-You that Nemesis is going to dish out.

It's been about several weeks since I finished this book and I still can't process my thoughts. While the Diabolic was more a filler for me than anything, the second book completely blew my expectations off the roof. I was hooked the entire time and had so many emotions and thoughts running through my mind after I finished. There were so many unexpected scenes and things that occurred within this book, although I will admit that some of it is a bit predictable at times but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The character development in this book has been amazing and being able to follow Nemesis through her journey from start to wherever its headed has been an absolute pleasure.

I'm super excited for the third book to come out and to see how this whole thing ends. This book was hell not because it was bad but because it raised my hopes so many times only to bash them into small piece.
